Visit the Science Festival in Sidmouth in Autumn.  Many activities are taking place.  Sidmouth in Bloom are particpating in the Interactive Trail By The Sea event including a cooking with seaweed demonstrations, identifying seaweed and talking about plants that grow on the shingle.

 Ratty and Toad impress the children at the Sidmouth Folk Festival. He is on view until the first week in October. His other friends, Badger and Mole are to be seen in the gardens keeping watch.

 The Sidbashers clearing Himalayan Balsam:  Thanks to the Keith Owen Fund, waders were provided for the gang working along the Sid River.

Working parties start in June until early September every Tuesday from 9.30am -12.30pm.

Spring has arrived and Sidmouth is blooming.  Come and see the second year of planting the 'Valley of a Million Bulbs'.

We've been nominated for best Non-Municipal Display in the Britain in Bloom - South West Competition.

 

You have only a few more weeks to see the Owl and the Pussycat in Blackmore Gardens near the Library.  You will find them sailing from the shore into the sea.  The moon and stars are above, the pig with ring and the turkey on the hill are to be found. Find the five pound note.

 

Autumn planting will replace the display in early October.

Come and join the Great British Beach Clean with the Sidcombers on Saturday 20th September, 1.30 - 3.30 pm at the west end of the promenade near the bus shelters.

 

Wear gloves, suitable clothes and shoes. Bring bucket.  Litter pickers and bags provided.

 

Families welcome.
